CHALLENGE

GHD, a global engineering firm, had a lease expiring in St. Catharines and required additional office space to support the office’s growth. It was required by their global head office that the real estate team selected provide an open-book and transparent process. 

SOLUTION

The Wilson team was retained to assist and conducted a detailed market search, discovering a number of existing buildings that had available space to meet GHD’s requirement. After analyzing the strategic and financial considerations of each option, it was determined that expanding in to non-contiguous space at GHD’s existing location was the best alternative to meet GHD’s needs.

GHD was able to expand in to additional space, in a reasonable timeline and at a cost significantly below comparable alternatives
